Welcome to Olney Dermatology Associates, the private dermatologic practice of Paula E. Bourelly, MD, FAAD. Our practice provides the full spectrum of medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatologic services. Dr. Bourelly received her BA in psychobiology at Wellesley College in 1987, and her Doctor of Medicine degree from Northwestern University in 1993. After completing one year of Internal Medicine training at Georgetown University, she pursued her Dermatology training at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and graduated in 1997. For the next 7 years, she worked at the Center for Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery in Washington, DC prior to establishing this practice in January of 2005. She has been on staff at Georgetown University Hospital since 1997 and actively teaching and practicing there since 2002. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, and the Medical Society of the District of Columbia. She was a vice-chair of the Dermatology Foundation from 1997- 2003. She is also on staff at Providence Hospital and Montgomery General Hospital. Dr. Bourelly has published several scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and co-authored a textbook chapter published in 2005. She has presented at various national meetings, has been interviewed by NBC, CNN, WTOP, The Washington Post, The Washington Times and participated in a live online chat with washingtonpost.com.
